A “car shed” is a structure designed to protect vehicles from weather elements (rain, sun, hail) and theft, often acting as a carport, garage, or, in rail contexts, a facility for maintenance. It can be attached to a house or freestanding, constructed from wood, metal, or concrete. A garage is a covered structure built for the purpose of parking, storing, protecting, maintaining, and/or repairing vehicles.
